FUJIFILM Business Innovation Launches New Production Color Presses with Superior Media Handling, Color Management and AI Capability, and New Automatic Print Inspection System

HOCHIMINH, April 26^th, 2023 – FUJIFILM Business Innovation Vietnam launches two new production color press models -- Revoria Press^TM EC1100 and Revoria Press^TM SC170-  the new digital presses provide professional printing solutions for the printing industry and in-house printing delivering superior productivity with high image quality*¹ and a new optional^*2 inspection system (hereafter, “Print Inspection System") for the production color press, Revoria Press^TM PC1120, which caters to the high-end production printing market. They are now available in the Vietnam.

[Revoria Press™ EC1100 & Revoria Press™ SC170] 

The Revoria Press^TM EC1100, mainly targeting both commercial printing and quick printing, prints at 100 pages per minute^*3, whereas the Revoria Press^TM SC170, which caters to quick printing and in-house printing, prints at 70 pages per minute^*4. The three new models are highly versatile and can handle a broa range of paper weight, from 52g/m² to 400g/m^2*5, and various paper sizes from small sized paper of 98x148mm to banner sheet of 330x1200mm^*6.

The Air Suction Feeder^*6 improves feed performance of all media, including paper carrying a lot of paper dust, pre-printed paper using powder, paper with uneven texture, and coated paper that is prone to poor feeding. Stable and high-speed feeding is achieved for various paper types, from lightweight to heavyweight, small sizes to long banner sheets. 

The new models also have new color management features to produce accurate color consistently with less operator invovlements.

• "Color Profile Maker for Display" reproduces printed colors accurately on the monitor. The Revoria Press^TM EC1100 and Revoria Press^TM SC170 offer a newly developed color management feature "Color Profile Maker for Display", which can match color accurately by adjusting the colors on the monitor to match the printed output.
• Color match your reprint job by scanning previous output. The Revoria Press^TM SC170 have a new feature that can scan previously printed materials from the same or other presses to reproduce consistent color when reprinting. Color are match easily and effectively when reprinting while reducing errors and wastage by allowing color matching of reprints by scanning an existing printed material regardless of previous print technology, thereby further providing a simple yet powerful experience to the user.
• AI-based photo quality optimization. AI (Artificial Intelligence) automatically reviews the scene for each photograph on the page and corrects it. Each photograph will be automatically enhanced based on its existing lackluster conditions such as image being too dark/ too bright, blacklight exposure, correction of skin tones, and bringing out the hues in blue skies.

  • The print server, Revoria Flow^TM, performs RIP processing at 1,200 dpi and 10-bit color, generating high-quality image data.

  • A versatile lineup of in-line post-processing options caters to creasing, saddle stitching, three-way trimming, and square-back finish for saddle stitch binding, thus contributing to diverse printing production.

  • The in-line sensor automates color calibration and front-to-back registration alignment^*7.

• Other features available in Revoria Press^TM SC170

  • The presses are equipped with copy and scan functions for office.

  • Featuring the SIQA^*8 function, which involves scanning a calibration chart to automatically correct image quality, to streamline processes such as registration mark alignment and uneven color correction.

[Print Inspection System for Revoria Press(TM) PC1120] The Print Inspection System reduces lead time to delivery by improving efficiency and consistency in the quality control process of printed materials, without sacrificing productivity of the Revoria Press(TM) PC1120. During printing, the Print Inspection System automatically inspects printed materials for dots, stains, and pinholes, that are small as 0.3mm, as well as streaks, dog ears, registration misalignment, and variations in color density. This eliminates the burden of time-consuming visual quality checks while maintaining a consistent quality level for printed materials produced by different operators. The sensors in the Smart Monitoring Gate D1 which is connected inline to the Revoria Press(TM) PC1120 scan every sheet during printing with a high resolution of 300 dpi. The Smart Print Inspector software installed in the Inspection PC then compares the scanned image with the original RIP data which serves as a reference, thereby detecting printing defects in real time. Operators can easily check the inspection results from the screen of the Revoria Flow(TM) PC21 print server.
