- Calibration curve information and the expiration date for each reagent lot can be registered by simply reading one 2D code on the calibration curve card.
- The sample pretreatment solution lot and expiration date can be registered simply by scanning the barcode on the outer box.
- A dedicated control can be used for quality control.
- The reference value information and expiration date of the dedicated control can be registered by reading the 2D code on the reference value card.

The LAL reagent prepared from amebocyte lysate of the American horseshoe crabs is coagulated (gelated) by (1→3)-β-D-glucan in the specimen. This gelation reaction is captured as a change in transmitted light intensity, and the time from the start of the reaction to the point where a fixed transmitted light intensity ratio is reached (gelation time) is analyzed to calculate the concentration of (1→3)-β-D-glucan in the specimen.
