Fujifilm partnered with World Cancer Day, a global initiative led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), in 2024 and will continue the partnership as a “Visionary Partner” from 2025 to 2027. United by unique stories of resilience and hope, we support patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals while advancing our mission to make cancer prevention, detection, and treatment accessible to all. Together, we’re united by individual stories and driven to create lasting change. Fujifilm and the UICC are committed to reducing the global cancer burden and improving patient outcomes through collaboration and innovation.

This year, Fujifilm once again proudly supports the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) as a “Visionary Partner” of World Cancer Day. For 2026 we have put instax WIDE Evo™ cameras in the hands of patients, caregivers, advocates, and healthcare professionals, to tell their stories of how cancer turns everything upside down. We will share these stories over the next months, through monthly photos and reflections which are powerful journeys of resilience, strength, and hope, creating a compelling visual diary. Read the stories and learn more about these advocates on our dedicated page.
We are redefining the future of cancer care with groundbreaking technologies and initiatives that prioritize early detection, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Through our comprehensive equipment lineup and integration of advanced IT and Al solutions, we address operational challenges, prioritizing interconnected solutions that improve workflow efficiency. Our approach includes promoting cancer screening through endoscopy, mammography, and medical Al.
• Our NURA health screening centers in emerging countries, designed to expand access to life-saving cancer screenings in underserved communities, are driving earlier detection of cancers and helping reduce health inequities. Fujifilm aims to expand the number of health screening centers which uses Fujifilm’s medical devices, AI technology to assist doctors in diagnostics, and the operational know-how gained through the operation of NURA to 100 locations by the fiscal year 2030.
• Fujifilm's partnerships with biopharmaceutical companies focus on creating cutting-edge cancer treatments. These collaborations have led to the development of targeted therapies that specifically attack cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue. By delivering precise and potent treatments, we aim to enhance the effectiveness of cancer therapy and reduce adverse effects.
• We empower scientists and researchers fighting cancer at every stage of discovery, development, and commercialization. Our iPSC cells and research tools enable scientists to model diseases to find new cures and test the safety of new therapies. Our advanced cell culture media and reagents support the growth, programming, and maintenance of cells used in cancer treatment, including cell and gene therapies.
Fujifilm’s VISION2030 is rooted in our commitment to addressing social and environmental challenges and provides a roadmap to sustained growth and innovation. Guided by Fujifilm Group’s purpose of “Giving our world more smiles”, we are using our diverse expertise in Healthcare, Electronics, Business Innovation, and Imaging to transform industries and enrich lives. In Healthcare, we will accelerate prevention, early diagnosis, and early treatment by wide range of equipment lineup and IT / AI technology or expansion of health checkup business, as well as expanding provision of solutions to support development and manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals including next-generation drugs.
Fujifilm’s Sustainable Value Plan 2030 (SVP2030) is a bold framework for creating a sustainable society while supporting long-term business growth. SVP2030 addresses global challenges by developing technologies, products, and services that resolve critical issues across four priority areas: Environment, Health, Daily life, and Work style. In the area of “Health”, we define priority issues of “Fulfill unmet medical needs”, “Improve accessibility to medical services”, and “Contribute to identifying diseases at an early stage”, all of which would contribute to improving cancer care globally. Fujifilm is proud to continue our commitment to driving social change and inspire progress that benefits both people and the planet.
