Fujifilm Launches “QuickSnap Active^™,” a Waterproof Model, and “QuickSnap Black and White^™,” Featuring Black-and-White Film

TOKYO, July 1, 2026 — FUJIFILM Corporation announced the launch of two new products in its QuickSnap^™ single-use camera lineup, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year: the waterproof model “QuickSnap Active^™” and the black-and-white film model “QuickSnap Black and White^™.” “QuickSnap Active^™” is scheduled to be available in early August, and “QuickSnap Black and White^™” is scheduled to be available from September 2026 onward.

First introduced in July 1986, QuickSnap^™, the world’s first single-use camera, was developed with the concept of enabling anyone to take photos easily, anytime and anywhere. It expanded the role of photography beyond capturing special occasions such as travel and events, making it possible to casually document everyday life and thereby broadening the reach of photographic culture.
QuickSnap^™ marks its 40th anniversary in July 2026 and has sold more than 1.7 billion units worldwide to date. Today, its unique characteristics, including the excitement of not knowing how photos will turn out until development and the distinctive, atmospheric quality of the images, continue to resonate with a wide range of users, particularly among younger generations.

At this milestone, Fujifilm will launch two new products, “QuickSnap Active^™” and “QuickSnap Black and White^™,” which further expand the range of shooting scenes and creative expressions with QuickSnap^™.
The waterproof model “QuickSnap Active^™” enables underwater photography at depths of up to 10 meters. It can be used with ease in a wide range of active scenes, including at the beach or pool, during winter sports, and while camping, allowing users to capture the experience and excitement of the moment as they see it and preserve it in distinctive photographs.
The “QuickSnap Black and White^™” model, featuring black-and-white film, enables users to capture refined black and white images that highlight the subject without the need for special settings or advanced techniques. It allows anyone to easily transform everyday moments into artistic photographs.

Alongside these products, Fujifilm will also launch the “QuickSnap^™ Hand Strap,” an accessory that allows users to carry QuickSnap^™ with ease. In addition, a special 40th anniversary logo has been developed to further communicate the enduring value of QuickSnap^™, which has been loved for decades.

Fujifilm will continue to expand the QuickSnap^™ photographic experience, enabling anyone to easily enjoy film photography by simply advancing the film and pressing the shutter.

Encased in a durable plastic housing, “QuickSnap Active^™” offers waterproof performance that enables underwater photography at depths of up to 10 meters. It is ideal for use in a wide range of active scenes, including at the beach or pool, as well as during winter sports and camping. In addition, the model features a larger film advance knob than the standard model, along with a lever-style shutter button, allowing for easy operation even underwater or while wearing gloves. By attaching the dedicated “QuickSnap Active^™” hand strap included with the product, users can comfortably enjoy shooting in active scenarios.

Featuring black-and-white film characterized by sharp images and smooth grain, this model enables users to capture refined black and white photographs that highlight the subject. By expressing images in black and white, it allows users to photograph everyday moments, such as street scenes or time spent with loved ones, without the need for special settings or advanced techniques, and transform them into distinctive and artistic photographs.

“QuickSnap Black and White^™” is compatible with the same processing chemicals used for color negative film^*1. As with standard QuickSnap^™ products, users can place development orders at nearby photo labs that handle color negative film processing.

A dedicated “QuickSnap^™” hand strap that allows users to carry their QuickSnap^™ camera with ease and enjoy capturing moments across a wide range of everyday scenes. Users can also personalize the strap by attaching their favorite keychains or accessories to match their own style.
