In professional shooting environments such as sports broadcasting, live music broadcasting, and studio shooting, it is essential to reliably capture decisive moments that occur at key points in competitions and performances. To meet these needs, it is important to achieve both zoom performance that covers a wide focal range from wide-angle to telephoto with a single lens and a compact, lightweight design that enables agile operation.
The UA30x7.3 and UA16x4 developed this time are portable-type broadcast zoom lenses that achieve both an expanded wide-angle range and higher magnification, fitting a focal range that exceeds previous models into a compact and lightweight body. By optimizing each element in coordination—from optical design and mechanical design to production technology and control technology—Fujifilm has achieved compactness and light weight while securing a class-leading zoom ratio and wide-end focal length.
In sports broadcasting, the lenses support image creation according to shooting intent, from wide shots that capture the entire stadium to powerful zoom-ups, and even close-up shooting such as post-match interviews.
The UA30x7.3 and UA16x4 also support a wide range of visual expression according to the operator’s intent across various shooting environments, including live concert broadcasts, studio shooting, and news gathering.

Since releasing the world’s first 4K-compatible broadcast lens in 2015, Fujifilm has expanded its lineup to include 8K-compatible broadcast lenses, leading the advancement of higher image quality in video production. Together with “FUJINON UA22x4.8BERD” and “FUJINON UA94x8.7BESM,” which were announced simultaneously today, Fujifilm will significantly strengthen its lineup of 4K broadcast zoom lenses. Fujifilm will continue to develop and provide high-performance lenses as well as accessories that support comfortable shooting, meeting the diverse needs of video production environments.
