The Thirteenth Tochigi Kura no Machikado Film Festival (2022)
The Tochigi Kura no Machikado Film Festival is a film festival held in Tochigi-shi, Tochigi Prefecture. During the festival period, historical buildings, mainly a number of storehouses remaining in the city, are opened to the public as mini-theaters. In addition to hosting the Tochigi Kura no Machikado Awards, in which films are solicited from the general public, this is a community-based event that aims to let more people enjoy the historical scenery of the city, and 2022 marked the 13th festival, which was held for the first time in three years after the COVID-19 pandemic. At this film festival, FP-Z8000 was used for indoor screenings at a mini-theater inside an earthen storehouse called "Kitagura" and for the wall projection at the main venue, "Tochigi Dashi Kaikan". With the Z series, we were able to create a new type of film festival that has never been seen before. We spoke with Mr. Tomonobu Oaku, Secretary General of the festival, about the effects of introducing the Z series.

KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival in Kyoto
The KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival, an annual event held in Kyoto, has marked its 10th anniversary in 2022. This year’s theme, “One,” signifies unifying various forms of interpersonal communication that became severed in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and draws inspiration from the Buddhist saying, “One is Ten.” The Festival attracted over 200,000 people, with many visiting exhibition venues set up across Kyoto.

Beijing Digital Art Exhibition "Van Gogh Alive"
From September 2021 to February 2022, a novel immersive digital art exhibition called "Van Gogh Alive" is being held at the Dewey Center in Beijing, China. Forty FUJIFILM FP-Z8000 projectors have been adopted for this art exhibition, which is becoming a world-class art and culture event. The vivid visual expression of the projectors makes you feel as if the paintings and stories made the world of the former impressionist masters 'Alive' (reproduced) in the present day.

Beijing InfoComm China 2021
Beijing InfoComm China 2021, the largest professional audiovisual exhibition in Asia, was held from July 21 to 23. In the exhibition area of Fujifilm, we created a dome where visitors could have 360-degree panorama immersive visual experience by using the ultra-short throw laser projectors FP-Z5000/FP-Z8000 with our unique rotating lens equipped and had them experience the projectors’ performance.
