“instax mini Evo Cinema^™” named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026

TOKYO, October 23, 2026 – FUJIFILM Corporation announces that the instax mini Evo Cinema^™ hybrid instant camera has been selected as one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026 in the Consumer Electronics category. This is the second consecutive year Fujifilm has been named to TIME’s Best Inventions list, with the instax WIDE Evo^™ hybrid instant camera selected in 2025. Separately, Fujifilm was recognized earlier this year as a TIME100 Most Influential Company and named an industry leader in the hardware sector.

“TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026” highlights emerging fields such as AI, apps and software, connectivity and communication, manufacturing and materials, medical and healthcare, and more, with nominations submitted by TIME’s editors and correspondents worldwide. Each product or idea is evaluated based on several key criteria, including originality, efficacy, ambition, and impact. The instax mini Evo Cinema^™ can capture both still images and videos. It converts captured video data into a QR code^*1 and creates an instax^™ print together with a still image cut out from the video, allowing users to “hand over a video.” The camera is equipped with the “Eras Dial^™”, which lets users experience effects inspired by different eras. 10 “Eras Dial^™” effects are available, including “1960” inspired by 8mm film cameras. Each effect has 10 adjustable levels, offering a total of 100 possible expressions. These effects capture the unique flavor of each era, letting users shoot extraordinary, special videos and still images with a sense of time travel.
