FUJIFILM (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (hereinafter referred to as “FMAL”, “we”, “our” or “us”) respect the rights to privacy and security of your personal data. This Personal Data Protection Notice (“Notice”) clarifies how FMAL processes your data from the point we collect, use, share, dispose of and the security measure that we established to ensure your personal data is well protected, in compliance with Personal Data Protection Act (“Act”).
We collect your personal data which ranges from your name, identification number, passport number, e-mail address, telephone number,biometric information, photo and information regarding your visit to our offices or premises,your images as captured through our closed circuit television (CCTV) recordings and other personal data for the purposes agreed upon in advance and to the extent that processing your Personal Data is necessary.
We gather your personal data from:
- Visitors’ registers (via QR or logbook maintained at the reception).
- CCTV footage.
- Photographs or videos taken by us or our representatives when you attend any of our events at our offices or premises.
- FUJIFILM Repair Form.
We may collect additional personal data in the course of business, if required
We collect your personal data to:
- Verify your identity for security reasons.
- Assist and direct you to the correct location during your visit to our offices or premises.
- Contact you, following your departure from our offices or premises where necessary (such as where you have accidentally left any of your personal belongings at our offices or premises).
- Ensure your safety while you are at our offices or premises.
- Conducting internal audits or investigations.
- Process your request to purchase our product/service.
- Resolve complaints (if any).
We are a global group of companies and have databases in different countries. We may transfer your personal data to one of FMAL’s databases outside Malaysia. We will ensure that all cross border data transfer shall be following this Notice, applicable laws and regulations.
We may disclose your personal data to:
- Third parties engaged to provide our products and services (where relevant), our group companies, affiliates and subsidiaries (“Authorised Third Parties”).
- Internal departments, including our IT team, admin team or any other team if access to the data is necessary for performance of their roles.
- Public authority(ies) for legal / regulatory purpose.
Your personal data shall be managed in an appropriate manner under the responsibility of each division of FMAL that receives such Personal Data. We use data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection and take reasonable measures to protect your personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
FMAL will retain your personal data pursuant to the Act. We will cease retention of your personal data or remove the means by which any information can be associated with your personal data, as soon as retention no longer serves the purpose for which it was collected and is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes.

- To request access to your personal data with reasonable notice.
- To request correction and/or update of your personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated.
- To limit the processing of your personal data by expressly withdrawing the consent, however, this may affect our continuous services to you
