FUJIFILM Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (hereinafter “FUJIFILM”) has established the following social media policy (hereinafter “the Policy”) for its official social media accounts (hereinafter “Social Media Accounts”). The Policy shall apply to each of the accounts listed under the Social Media Accounts List appearing herein.

What is Social Media?

Social media is defined as internet or web technology media for use by a large undefined number of individual users by which to communicate through the posting of information.

Management of Social Media Accounts

FUJIFILM complies with the Policy and applicable laws in managing its Social Media Accounts. If FUJIFILM outsource the management of its Social Media Accounts to an external organization, FUJIFILM ensures that they will be managed in accordance with the Policy.

Information, opinions, statements and/or comments posted on FUJIFILM’s Social Media Accounts does not necessarily represent the official announcements or views of FUJIFILM. Official announcements and statements of opinion are made via FUJIFILM’s own website, news releases, and the like. FUJIFILM further does not endorse, support, represent or guarantee the completeness, truthfulness, accuracy, or reliability of any content or communications posted by any user and/or customers on and/or through FUJIFILM’s Social Media Accounts.

 

Replies and Responses to Inquiries

FUJIFILM reserves the right to choose not to comment on any issues of controversy and exercise the option of removing any posts which may be:

a)    factually incorrect;
b)    offensive, abusive, defames or threatens others;
c)    unrelated to FUJIFILM, of which could be considered as spam;
d)    vulgar, obscene or indecent language;
e)    illegal or in any way endorsing illegal activities;
f)     breaks any laws or regulations;
g)    an infringement of any intellectual property rights; and/or
h)    publication of personal information (eg. names, address, phone number, emails etc) of individual(s). 

By accessing, viewing and/or posting any content related directly or indirectly to FUJIFILM on any Social Media Accounts, user shall be deemed to accept, without limitation or qualification, the aforementioned rules. FUJIFILM shall further have the right to temporarily or permanently block any user who posts comments or content on FUJIFILM’s Social Media Accounts which are deemed to be inappropriate by FUJIFILM.

Limitation of Liabilities

FUJIFILM make every effort to ensure that the information contained in FUJIFILM’s Social Media Accounts is accurate and up to date. 

In so far as is permitted by Malaysian laws, FUJIFILM disclaims any and all liability for damages or loss, for any reason, of any origin, nature or with any consequences whatsoever including without limitation, liability for any inaccuracy, error or omission in relation to the information contained in FUJIFILM’s Social Media Accounts or any loss or damage arising out of the use, access or reliance on the information in FUJIFILM’s Social Media Accounts or any consequential loss for any reason, of any origin, nature or with any consequences whatsoever.

Changes to the Policy

FUJIFILM reserves the right to change the Policy without prior notice. Additionally, FUJIFILM shall not in any way be liable for damages, losses, expenses, obligations, etc. to users in the event of changes to the Policy.

Social Media Accounts List

Please be careful with account names that resemble FUJIFILM’s Official Accounts. FUJIFILM’s current Social Media Accounts in Malaysia are listed in the "Official Social Media List" page below.

Governing Laws

  1. In the event that any provision of the Policy is held to be invalid or unenforceable, then that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of the Policy will remain in full force and effect. FUJIFILM’s failure to enforce any right or provision of the Policy will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
  2. The laws of Malaysia and the courts of Malaysia will govern the Policy and any dispute that arises between FUJIFILM and any user.
