FUJIFILM Healthcare Europe is excited to announce the European launch of the FUJI DRI-CHEM® AU20V, an enhanced in-house diagnostics measurement device for veterinary use.
Designed to provide rapid laboratory-quality results, this is the latest edition to FUJIFILM’s FVET® veterinary diagnostics portfolio.
SIMPLE DESIGN FOR A STRESS-FREE VETERINARY LAB WORKFLOW
Based on the same core AU technology as its predecessor1 the FUJI DRI-CHEM® AU20V blends excellence in SPF technology with a simple design that supports a dynamic and stress-free veterinary lab workflow. With one-stop built-in auto-dilution and an easy-to-use intuitive colour touch panel, the new in-house diagnostics solution is expected to support veterinary practices with a stress-free workflow, by automating the complexities of veterinary testing.
RAPID TESTING FOR LABORATORY-QUALITY RESULTS
“Progesterone results are obtained in approximately 10 minutes" 3,5
Supporting an increased demand for hormone testing in older animals to diagnose and monitor endocrine diseases, the FUJI DRI-CHEM® AU20V solution provides quicker accessibility to test results. With lab-quality results available in approximately 10 minutes5, rapid testing reduces the inefficiencies associated with conventional hormone testing - specifically the time and logistics involved in obtaining test results from external laboratories.
The upgraded FUJIFILM in-house diagnostics solution is designed to empower veterinary practices with access to key information from rapid testing, contributing to possibilities for early diagnosis and faster treatment decisions.
ENHANCED USABILITY WITH INTUITIVE COLOUR TOUCH PANEL
Whilst retaining the core features of compactness, sensitivity and rapid turnaround time from the previous model1, the FUJI DRI-CHEM® AU20V introduces an intuitive user interface with a redesigned colour touch panel for even greater ease of use. Where the previous model1 required the diluent and sample to be set separately – the new FUJIFILM solution allows setting both the diluent and the sample simultaneously.
With simplicity embedded into the redesign of the new solution, it’s now possible for veterinary professionals to generate test results at the simple touch of a start button. Professionals can also expect to view measurements from a physical distance due to the larger text display – introducing an opportunity for increased operational efficiency in practices.
RESEARCH-BASED EVOLUTION FOR RELIABLE RESULTS
Engineered for accuracy the FUJI DRI-CHEM® AU20V has been especially designed to deliver results that vets can rely on, saving time on retesting and reducing stress-levels with the knowledge that results are reliable5.
With the ability to measure six essential parameters - T4, TSH, cortisol, TBA, progesterone, and SAA* in approximately 10 minutes4 in a veterinary clinic, the FUJI DRI-CHEM® uses the Surface Plasmon Fluorescence measurement method (SPF)2
Enabling quicker immunoassay measurements, this technology makes it possible to provide in-house measurements and on-the-spot confirmation of results. Ultimately, this empowers veterinary practices to offer immediate explanations to the pet owner about the health status of the animal, improving overall customer satisfaction and experience.

2 Surface plasmon-enhanced fluorescence is a technology that can provide a quantitative and sensitive inspection system while being a compact and simple device. Specifically, by using a high-precision prism lens to irradiate light at a certain angle, only fluorescent particles near the gold film can be illuminated with high sensitivity.
3 At 24°C. Depending on the operating environment temperature, the measurement time may vary.
