Since our journey started in 1934, and our first foray into the medical market in 1936 when we began producing x-ray film, we have never stopped innovating in healthcare and we are delighted to announce the next stage of our journey as a larger dedicated healthcare provider, FUJIFILM Healthcare UK.
Our move to FUJIFILM Healthcare UK will allow us to continue to focus on providing innovation and solutions to healthcare professionals and wider society, underpinned by the highest image quality and level of service that sits at the core of our business today.
Since the acquisition of the Hitachi Diagnostic Imaging-related business in March 2021, we have been working on integrating the existing FUJIFILM Medical Systems business with the ex-Hitachi business, which will culminate in this transfer at midnight on 30th September 2023.
From midnight on 30th September 2023, the FUJIFILM UK Medical Systems division will be transferred from FUJIFILM UK Limited to FUJIFILM Healthcare UK Limited, creating a combined organisation that is dedicated to healthcare, encompassing our ultrasound, digital pathology, Healthcare IT, IVD, x-ray, CT and MR businesses.

Will there be a break in our service whilst you transition to FUJIFILM Healthcare UK Limited?
No. However if you have a current contract we will be sending you an assignment letter. Where we are asking for you to countersign that letter to confirm your consent to the assignment please do so as soon as possible and in any event before 30 September 2023.
Will I still be able to contact FUJIFILM using existing contact details because of this change?
Yes. Contact numbers and email addresses will remain the same, and all staff employed in Fujifilm's UK Medical Systems division will be transferring over to FUJIFILM Healthcare UK Limited, so you will be able to maintain contact your existing Fujifilm representatives following this transfer.
Does this change impact FUJIFILM Sonosite?
No. FUJIFILM Healthcare UK Limited will not incorporate any Fujifilm Sonosite business activities.
Will FUJIFILM Healthcare UK Limited be moving to new premises?
No. Currently Fujifilm's UK Medical Systems division and FUJIFILM Healthcare UK Limited both operate out of Fujifilm House in Bedford, with its dedicated Healthcare customer demonstration and training suite. Following the transfer FUJIFIILM Healthcare UK Limited will remain at Fujifilm House.
What will happen to our existing contract?
We will shortly be sending correspondence to all customers with whom we have existing current contracts regarding the assignment of those contracts. We would ask that all customers read the assignment letters and, where necessary, action them prior to the end of September. From 1st October 2023, FUJIFILM Healthcare UK Limited will invoice customers for all goods and services. We will be writing to you nearer the time with more information about what you will need to do from 1 October 2023.
