The “Image Processing System IS-100” color management system allows consistent look management in any scene of a digital motion picture production.
Sep. 9, 2016
For the past few years, the Fujifilm IS-mini LUT box and MiniManager software have proven to be highly effective and reliable solutions for color management and professional monitor calibration. We thank you for your efforts and support in helping make them a success. On September 9, 2016, Fujifilm Corporation will transfer the manufacture, research and development of IS-Mini hardware and MiniManager software to WOWOW, Inc. located in Tokyo, Japan. WOWOW, Inc. will thereafter sell and support IS-Mini hardware and MiniManager software, and will also bring forth new products that build on the existing line-up

“Image Processing System IS-100” is a color management system for digital motion picture production based on the “ACES specification*” which was developed by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) in the United States of America.
The system makes it possible to match and manage a variety of camera signals and to reproduce the final look (including creative looks) during production and later in post-production. It consists of a hardware unit that delivers high-speed and high-precision image processing as well as an accompanying intuitive iPad™** application. The system accurately represents the colors that would appear on cinema screens via the on-set monitor and offers intuitive controls to easily adjust the tones, saturation, contrast and other details by using an iPad™ as a controller. The system’s on-set capability for color correction, which is normally handled in post-production, is carried on further to the final process by outputting color conversion information in the form of LUTs and CTLs files to the most popular color grading and visual effects software packages on the market.
By using a simple operation on iPadTM* controller, the IS-100 can reproduce the expression of motion picture negative film in a digital shooting environment. Beginning with the FUJIFILM ETERNA series, the IS-100 reproduces 15 different motion picture negative film tones and enables users with more creative digital motion picture expressions.
When shooting with more than 2 cameras, the IS-100 can manage colors between cameras by either managing colors individually or collectively. The IS-100 can quickly match the differences between varying camera types and is ideal to be used in mixed camera environments.
By connecting the IS-100 with any model of the AJA KiPRO series, the IS-100 is able to record offline sources such as dailies in realtime as well as the ability to review and playback footage from the iPadTM*.
By selecting the camera type and monitor type via iPadTM* controller, the IS-100 executes color conversions based on ACES specification for maximum flexibility and accuracy. The IS-100 accurately reproduces the final rendered colors of the theatrical screen or the master monitor on the on-set monitor for live viewing.** Furthermore, with the built-in monitor calibration function, you can carry on shooting with confidence knowing that the individual on-set monitor has been calibrated to the utmost accuracy.***
The IS-100 features intuitive real time color correction for color balance, saturation, brightness, color temperature, secondary color control, etc via an iPad™ controller. (Supporting ASC-CDL parameters)
IS-100 accurately exports all necessary color conversion information (final grading LUT, dailies LUT and snapshot images) to reproduce the exact look created by the cinematographer to devices such as color grading and visual effects systems.
Real time warnings for brightness spectrum and highlight/shadow details are displayed in real time via a live image automatically on the iPad controller. The IS-100 helps to reduce the frequency of retake by referencing changes in data, exposure settings and lighting condition instantly. In addition, a simplified compositing function allows you to check shooting and lighting condition with composited images in real time.
IS-100 (CCBOXX) export all of the necessary data for reproducing exactly the same image created on set at post production and daily system, including snap-shot of original camera image and rendered image for reference.
