Poland enters Tricks for Oscar bid (Poland)

Directed by Andrzej Jakimowski, and with cinematography by Adam Bajerski, Tricks has been chosen by a special committee by the Polish Minister of Culture as a candidate for the Oscar in the category of Best Foreign Language Film. The committee considered over 30 titles for the Academy Awards competition. Approximately 90% of the film was shot on FUJICOLOR negative F-250D 1000 ft.

The movie has already won over 30 prizes at international film festivals, including awards for the Best European Film in the Giornate degli Autorisection during Venice Days 2007, the Jury Special Prize in Mannheim-Heildeberg 2007, and the Jury's Main Prizes at festivals in Miami, Odessa, Angers and New York.
