FUJIFILM Business Innovation Announces Optimisation of Production and Sales Structure for Printing Plate Materials to Strengthen Graphic Communications Business

Sydney, 9 September, 2026 – FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corp. (President, Representative Director: Naoki Hama) today announced that it will optimise and reorganise its production and sales structure for printing plate materials as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen its Graphic Communications business. As part of this initiative, FUJIFILM Business Innovation will transfer its production, sales, and related business functions for printing plate materials (excluding Japan, the United States, Canada and Mexico) to Huangshan Jinruitai Technology Co., Ltd. and its affiliates, a leading producer for printing plate materials based in China and a long-standing business partner of Fujifilm in this field.

Fujifilm has contributed to the growth of the printing industry as the only comprehensive vendor offering a one-stop portfolio spanning offset printing materials – such as printing plate materials – to digital printing equipment, as well as DX solutions that improve the efficiency of printing workflows.

In recent years, the printing industry has undergone significant transformation, driven by the advancement of digital transformation (DX), increasing demand for automation and labour-saving solutions, and diversified customer needs. These changes have accelerated the shift from offset to digital printing, alongside the growing demand for higher-value-added digital presses.

In response to this evolving market environment, FUJIFILM Business Innovation has been strengthening its business structure in the offset printing domain. Key initiatives include the development and provision of processless plates as next-generation printing plates, as well as the optimisation of its global production structure. The business transfer forms part of these ongoing structural initiatives. Going forward, in this domain, FUJIFILM Business Innovation will concentrate on the production of printing plate materials in Japan and sales for markets in Japan, the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Looking ahead, in its Graphic Communications business FUJIFILM Business Innovation will further accelerate global growth in the digital printing domain, where continued market expansion is expected. The Company will enhance the development of digital presses and related solutions, centred on the Revoria Press™ series. By delivering solutions that leverage AI technologies to automate and streamline printing operations and enable high value-added print expressions, FUJIFILM Business Innovation will continue to support customer value creation.

Naoki Hama, President and Representative Director, FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corp.

"FUJIFILM Business Innovation is accelerating its transformation toward a solutions-driven business model and strengthening its business foundation to support the next stage of growth.

As part of our ongoing efforts to achieve sustainable growth and enhance corporate value, today's announced optimisation of our production and sales structure for printing plate materials will further strengthen our competitiveness. We will continue striving to be a company of choice for our customers and the market."
