Commitment on and off the water
For Fujifilm Europe, “Düsseldorf am Ruder” combines active participation with social engagement. The company’s rowing teams contribute to the sporting atmosphere, while the regatta raises public awareness of cancer and funds for people affected by the disease.

“Social commitment lies at the heart of our purpose, ‘Giving our world more smiles’. ‘Düsseldorf am Ruder’ is a powerful example of how people and organisations can come together to raise awareness of cancer and support those affected. We are proud to participate for the third consecutive year and to stand alongside the German Foundation for Young Adults with Cancer and the other organisations involved in the event,” explains Masataka Akiyama, President & Managing Director, Fujifilm Europe GmbH.

Fujifilm’s engagement in the regatta is part of its broader commitment to improving health and well-being. Alongside its social initiatives, Fujifilm contributes to the fight against cancer through medical imaging technologies, endoscopy solutions and AI-supported diagnostic tools. The company is also a global partner of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), supporting efforts to improve cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment worldwide. By combining healthcare innovation with community engagement, Fujifilm aims to contribute to greater awareness, improved cancer care and meaningful support for people affected by the disease.
