When FUJIFILM Business Innovation Australia (FBAU) relocated its headquarters to 54 Waterloo Road, the objective was clear: create a modern workplace where collaboration is intuitive and technology enhances, rather than interrupts, the flow of work.

FUJIFILM Business Innovation Australia sought to design an environment where employees could walk into any meeting room, connect instantly, and start collaborating without friction. Achieving this required a consistent, scalable audiovisual standard across a diverse range of spaces, from huddle rooms and small-to-medium meeting rooms through to large collaboration areas, a boardroom, and a dedicated training environment. Key requirements included intuitive room booking, seamless wireless sharing, and advanced capabilities such as intelligent camera tracking to support inclusive hybrid meetings.

FUJIFILM IT Services partnered closely with FUJIFILM Business Innovation stakeholders to translate this vision into a practical, standardised solution.

FUJIFILM IT Services designed and deployed a Microsoft Teams Rooms environment that could scale across the entire site, delivering 51 meeting and collaboration spaces. This included small and medium meeting rooms, larger collaboration areas, a purpose-built boardroom, and an interactive training space. In addition, collaboration screens and digital noticeboards were implemented to support internal communication and embed hybrid ways of working across the workplace.

At the core of the solution was a carefully selected, enterprise-grade hardware ecosystem. We aligned Microsoft Teams Rooms-certified devices with Yealink MTR on Windows solutions and Yealink ProAV conferencing systems, complemented by CommBox interactive and non-interactive displays. This ensured a consistent and intuitive user experience across every room, regardless of size or complexity.

For larger environments, we deployed advanced Teams Rooms capabilities, including intelligent camera tracking and enhanced audio performance. These features support more immersive and equitable meeting experiences, ensuring remote participants are as engaged as those in the room.

Sustainability was also a key consideration. The solution incorporated energy-efficient hardware, standardised components to minimise lifecycle waste, and a scalable architecture designed to adapt over time without requiring full technology replacement.

The success of the program was underpinned by a disciplined delivery approach.

FUJIFILM IT Services provided end-to-end governance across the full project lifecycle, including solution design, procurement, installation coordination, and operational readiness. We worked closely with AV vendors, fit-out partners, and internal teams through clearly defined milestones, integrated planning, and ongoing stakeholder engagement.

This coordinated approach ensured the AV deployment remained aligned with construction timelines, enabling a smooth and efficient rollout despite the complexity of multiple concurrent workstreams.
