FUJIFILM Business Innovation Hong Kong Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Hong Kong Small and Medium Enterprises Association on “Democratizing AI and Unlocking Potential”
HONG KONG, AUGUST 29, 2025 – FUJIFILM Business Innovation Hong Kong has officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Hong Kong Small and Medium Enterprises Association to jointly promote the 2025 "Democratizing AI and Unlocking Potential" initiative. This collaboration aims to accelerate AI technology adoption among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Hong Kong, enhancing their competitiveness, reducing operational costs, and unlocking new potential for business development.
The memorandum was signed at the Hong Kong Productivity Council Building, with over 30 organizations and chambers of commerce and more than 200 industry professionals in attendance. According to the memorandum, the two parties will co-organize a series of AI-related activities in the coming months, including:
• Free workshops on AI and cost-saving initiatives for SMEs, featuring professionals and industry experts to promote AI and cybersecurity and enhance their competitiveness.
• Interviews with AI and cybersecurity experts and industry leaders, which are broadcast via streaming websites and social media to create an interactive learning and exchange platform.
• Showcase of SMEs that have successfully implemented AI, sharing their experiences and processes in video format to inspire industry peers.
Both parties aim to empower upstream and downstream enterprises, practicing co-creation to deliver affordable and accessible solutions that drive industrial intelligence upgrades and business growth. This initiative also reinforces FUJIFILM BI Hong Kong's role in supporting the digital transformation of SMEs and democratizing AI.
About the Hong Kong Small and Medium Enterprises Association
In the future, the Association will continue to protect and advocate for the rights of SMEs, acting as a bridge to strengthen communication and connections with government departments and officials at all levels in Hong Kong and beyond. It will actively unite the industry to voice opinions to the government, aiming to safeguard and promote the interests of SMEs and optimize the investment and business environment that benefits them.
The Association will also organize and participate in study visits to mainland China and overseas, including emerging markets, meeting with local government officials to establish connections and expand cooperative investment opportunities for foreign and local SMEs. Events will be organized to strengthen ties among member businesses and promote commerce, creating a quality platform to enhance members' sense of belonging and cohesion.
Additionally, the Association will continue to assist enterprises in enhancing their competitiveness by hosting seminars and lectures tailored to national and local economic policies and market development needs. This will help SMEs better adapt to the constantly changing market in areas such as market strategies, organizational structure, talent training, and retention. The Association will gather the latest information related to the development of various industries among SMEs and share it with member companies to improve operational efficiency and competitiveness.
Through the provision of diverse services, the Association is committed to fulfilling its role as a business platform and actively supporting the sustainable development of SMEs.
