Why do printing companies participate in IPA 2026?
Printing companies participate in IPA 2026 not just to win awards but to build credibility with customers and brand owners, differentiate from competitors, and gain international recognition. Many winners leverage their IPA achievements as powerful sales and marketing tools when engaging with customers and prospects.
If you're unsure whether your project is suitable for submission, common questions and answers are available to help.
No.
A successful entry is not necessarily the most expensive, the most technical, or the most sophisticated project. Judges often recognize projects that solve customer challenges in a creative way or deliver measurable business results. For example:
- Personalized direct mail campaigns
- Creative photobooks
- Restaurant menus
- Marketing collateral
- Product catalogues
- Packaging projects
What matters most is the story behind the project and how digital printing technology contributed to its success.
One of the most common questions is: “What makes a winning entry?”
Judges evaluate submissions based on four key areas:
- Creativity and Innovation
- Does the project introduce a fresh idea or unique approach?
- Business Impact
- Did the project help achieve a customer’s marketing or business objectives?
In simple terms, judges want to know:
“Why does this project matter?”
Winners at IPA 2026 will receive certificates and trophies from the program, recognizing their creativity, print quality, and ability to apply digital printing technology. Winning works also have the opportunity to be showcased at the FUJIFILM showroom, international printing events, and in the globally distributed Winner’s Book.
Notably, recipients of the Best Innovation Award will be invited to a special awards ceremony in Tokyo, Japan. According to the program, only two winners worldwide will be invited, with each company allowed to send two representatives. FUJIFILM will cover travel, accommodation, and meals for the two-night trip.
This is an opportunity for businesses not only to receive awards but also to experience networking, tours, and engagement with FUJIFILM in Japan.
To participate in IPA 2026, customers can start by selecting a representative printed product, identifying the appropriate category, and preparing the entry materials. To join, please download and submit the IPA 2026 application form, and submit it along with 4 sets of printed samples before the deadline. The submission deadline for entries and samples is June 19, 2026.
