RATINGEN, GERMANY, 16, September 2026 – FUJIFILM Healthcare Europe is proud to introduce the new ELUXEO® 840 Series Bronchoscopes, expanding its pulmonology portfolio with two innovative models: the EB-840S Standard Type Bronchoscope and the EB-840T Therapeutic Type Bronchoscope.

Launched in Europe, at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress in Barcelona last week, the new bronchoscopes have been developed to support a broad range of diagnostic and interventional procedures. The new series combines high-definition visualisation, enhanced manoeuvrability and improved ergonomics in a streamlined design.

Wider HD Imaging Size

At the heart of the 840 Series is a CMOS video sensor that produces HD images in a wider size, providing operators with a large visual view. The bronchoscopes are compatible with Fujifilm’s ELUXEO® EP-8000, VP-7000 and EP-6000 processor platforms, helping facilities integrate the new devices into existing workflows.

Advanced Rotation for Greater Control

The new series introduces a rotation function that enables 120 degrees of rotation (Left/Right) of the insertion portion, supporting greater scope control, than previous models, during procedures. In addition, an enhanced control portion equipped with a wider grip, suction valve and four switches have been designed to improve handling and operator comfort.

The EB-840S Standard Type Bronchoscope features a 4.8mm distal end diameter and a 2.2mm minimum instrument channel diameter. Maintaining previous suction performance, the tip diameter has been slimmed to improve bronchi insertion while allowing endotherapeutic devices to pass through smoothly for diagnostic and interventional procedures.

The EB-840T Therapeutic Type Bronchoscope features a 5.6mm distal end diameter and a 2.8mm minimum instrument channel diameter, also enabling smooth passage of endotherapeutic devices while maintaining suction performance and improving bronchi insertion.

Both models feature a 120° field of view, observation range of 2mm to 100mm and compatibility with STERRAD^TM sterilisation. The One-Step Connector can be connected easily to the light source in a single step, helping simplify device setup and reprocessing workflows.

The ELUXEO® 840 Series Bronchoscopes are now available through FUJIFILM Healthcare Europe and authorised distribution channels, subject to local regulatory requirements.
