TOKYO, March 18, 2026 – FUJIFILM Corporation (President and CEO, Representative Director: Teiichi Goto) has developed the broadcast zoom lens “FUJINON UA94x8.7BESM” (hereafter “UA94x8.7”), which delivers a 94x zoom range covering 8.7-818mm.
UA94x8.7 is a box-type zoom lens designed for 2/3-inch sensor broadcast cameras, covering a full zoom range of 8.7-818mm. It is a great option for a wide variety of applications, including sports, large-scale events, and concerts. This lens enables flexibility in visual expression, from wide-angle establishing shots that capture the atmosphere of a packed venue to immersive close-up shots that bring subjects into clear focus with rich detail.
The “UA94x8.7BESM” is due to be released in Autumn of 2026, and Fujifilm plans to showcase this lens at NAB Show 2026, the world’s largest international broadcast equipment trade show, held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA from April 19-22, 2026.
In recent years, the broadcast industry has seen a growing demand for high-quality, immersive video, particularly for sports, large-scale events, and live broadcast. As video production styles diversify, broadcast equipment is increasingly being utilized not only for professional use, but across a wider range of production environments. Consequently, there is a rising need for box-type zoom lenses that offer an excellent balance of performance, cost, and versatility.
To meet these demands, the "UA94×8.7" is equipped with a proprietary image stabilization technology that offers superior operability while controlling zoom and focus, which is a technology that has been cultivated throughout our high-end models. This all contributes to ensuring camera operators can be as efficient as possible in composing an image for smooth operation during a production.
Fujifilm has continuously leveraged its advanced optical technology, developed over many decades, to manufacture and supply high-performance broadcast lenses, cinema lenses, and accessories. Alongside the simultaneously announced “FUJINON UA22x4.8BERD”, “FUJINON UA16x4BERD” and “FUJINON UA30x7.3BERD”, Fujifilm will continue to address the evolving needs of frontline video professionals.
