Projector FP-ZUH12000 - Lens

The FP-ZL034 is an ultra-short-throw lens featuring a uniquely developed folded rotatable mechanism.
The FP-ZL034 is composed of more than 20 lens elements, including large-diameter aspherical lenses, as well as two high-precision mirrors.
Based on lens design expertise developed through more than half a century of projector optical technology, and supported by highly precise manufacturing technologies, the FP-ZL034 enables high-quality image projection.
Its rotatable mount and lens sections allow projection in a wide variety of directions.

In an optical design composed of more than 20 lens elements and two mirrors, a newly designed Φ116 mm large-diameter aspherical lens is positioned at the front of the projection lens.
This design helps suppress image distortion and chromatic aberration caused by lens shift, achieving high resolution across the entire screen, from center to corner.

The optical and mechanical design takes into account thermal effects in the lens caused by high brightness, helping suppress focus shift resulting from thermal fluctuations.

The lens is equipped with two independent focus adjustment mechanisms: one for the overall screen and one for the screen periphery. This enables high-resolution image reproduction with sharp focus from the center to the edges of the projected image.
The focus mechanism also supports motorized control. Dedicated buttons on the remote control support quick setup during installation.

Despite being an interchangeable lens for a high-brightness projector, the FP-ZL034 features a compact and lightweight design. This allows installation that does not interfere with interior design, even when the projector is recessed into a ceiling.
A specially designed robust mount adapter securely holds the lens in place, eliminating the need for additional support parts. This helps suppress projection image misalignment and supports stable long-term operation.

With a wide lens shift range of ±60% vertically and ±30% horizontally, the FP-ZL034 offers flexible installation even in locations where existing equipment, beams, air-conditioning units, or other obstacles must be avoided.
Because the projection position can be adjusted freely, the lens enhances installation flexibility in spaces with many constraints, as well as in multi-projector configurations such as immersive environments.

With its newly developed three-group zoom mechanism, the FP-ZL034 achieves a class-largest^*2 1.2× optical zoom for an ultra-short-throw lens.
A single lens covers a throw ratio range from the ultra-short-throw range (TR: 0.34) to the short-throw range (TR: 0.41), enhancing layout flexibility during the installation design stage.
It also provides greater flexibility for final projection size adjustments on site, allowing the lens to adapt to unexpected installation conditions and helping reduce the workload during installation.
