The Fujifilm Group continues to embrace our Group Purpose: “Giving our world more smiles.” Since adopting this Purpose in January 2024, I have traveled to our sites around the world, where we conduct business, speaking directly with employees. In these conversations, I’ve continued to stress the importance of every individual having a personal aspiration — something they genuinely want to achieve — and turning that aspiration into actions that bring smiles to the people they impact through their work.
Sharing aspirations with colleagues and putting them into action is where innovation begins. From our roots in photography, Fujifilm built on our strong business foundations and technical skills to enter new fields, shaping today’s diverse business portfolio. Through all of our businesses, we are committed to bringing smiles to society, to our customers and, in turn, to ourselves. We will continue striving toward this Purpose in our corporate culture and in all of our business activities.
United by this shared Purpose, Fujifilm is leveraging technology and innovation to build a healthier and more sustainable world through its three business segments: Healthcare, Electronics, and Imaging.
In Healthcare, we are addressing the stable supply of cutting-edge pharmaceuticals and expanding access to medical care, helping to create a healthier society through improved prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. We are expanding our lineup of products and services for medical systems that leverage our strengths in IT and medical AI technologies, working to create new value, and addressing industry challenges. In life sciences, such as with our biopharmaceuticals CDMO (contract development and manufacturing organization) business, we provide comprehensive solutions from initial development to commercial production. Working closely with industry partners and patients around the world, we are helping to deliver high-quality biopharmaceuticals to more people, more quickly.
In Electronics, demand for semiconductors continues to rise with the progress of AI and digital transformation. In response, we have built a global support system that not only produces materials close to our customers manufacturing sites but also provides engineers who work alongside customers to help solve their challenges. With the strength of our extensive product lineup covering nearly the entire semiconductor manufacturing pre-process, we are expanding touchpoints with our customers, strengthening our post-process capabilities, and providing one-stop solutions — all while also accelerating the development of new materials for advanced next-generation semiconductors. With these initiatives, we will further secure our position as the most trusted partner in the semiconductor industry.
In Imaging, we offer photography products and services ranging from high-end mirrorless digital cameras to printing services and instant photo systems that allow users to print photos on the spot. We also provide products and services that leverage our videography technology and expertise, such as broadcast and cinema lenses, long-range multipurpose cameras, and projectors. With the launch of the FUJIFILM GFX ETERNA 55 video production camera — , featuring a 100-megapixel large-format sensor and a high-speed image processing engine paired with broadcast lenses that enable immersive, high-quality visuals for sports broadcasts, concerts, and other events — we are contributing to a richer society by enhancing the powerful storytelling ability of images and video.
My personal aspiration is to “leave behind something beneficial for the future 100 years from now.” By bringing together diverse talents and unique technological capabilities across the Fujifilm Group, we will continue working toward a future filled with smiles.
