Fujifilm Launches “FUJINON Lens XF23mmF2.8 R WR”

TOKYO, June 12, 2025 - FUJIFILM Corporation announces the global launch of the “FUJINON Lens XF23mmF2.8 R WR” (“XF23mmF2.8 R WR”) from December 2025. This new addition to the “XF lens” interchangeable lens lineup for the mirrorless digital camera X Series offers outstanding image quality and compact size and weight thanks to its unique color reproduction technology. Furthermore, the lens kit bundled with the newly announced mirrorless digital camera “FUJIFILM X-E5” will be available from August 2025.
The “XF23mmF2.8 R WR” is a 23mm focal length lens (35mm equivalent: 35mm) that combines an ultra-compact, lightweight design with high resolution performance. Despite its high-resolution performance compatible with the approximately 40.2-megapixel “X-Trans^™ CMOS 5 HR^*1” sensor, the lens achieves remarkable portability with a length of only 23mm^*2 and a weight of approximately 90g. This compactness is achieved through advanced lens processing technology for a thinner lens design and slimmed-down exterior and structural components. With its versatility for various shooting scenes such as standard, wide-angle, and close-up photography, the lens offers excellent operability and durability. Ideal for snapshots, portraits, landscapes, and tabletop photography of dishes or flowers, the “XF23mmF2.8 R WR” is a highly adaptable lens that delivers exceptional portability and shooting performance, making it an indispensable companion for a wide range of creative scenarios.

• A high-precision sensor has been adopted for the manual focus ring, enabling focus adjustment with fewer rotations. This design ensures smooth and precise manual focus ring operation tailored to the user’s shooting intentions, supporting comfortable shooting.
• A fixed ring is positioned between the manual focus ring and the aperture ring. This prevents one ring from being accidentally turned when rotating the other, ensuring effortless and precise operation.
