FUJIFILM Recording Media GmbH, Kleve, Germany announces a joint marketing partnership with Tiger Technology (Alpharetta, Ga.) to provide customers a long-term, secure, and scalable storage management solution for the seamless movement of data from a primary storage tier to tape storage.
Integrating FUJIFILM Object Archive with Tiger Technology’s Tiger Bridge offers active archiving to tape while preserving the entire chain of custody. The resulting environment provides a complete archiving solution to simplify the management and archive of unstructured data, and its movement into lower cost, long-term storage.
How the solutions work together:
Tiger Bridge monitors and manages selected areas of the local file system, then identifies data based on metadata attributes to move it to FUJIFILM Object Archive. Aging content can be actively archived - meaning that aged files no longer need to use local disk space, yet remain fully visible and accessible to users and applications. Once archived, FUJIFILM Object Archive provides a secure long-term archive on tape, with a physical air-gap, while maintaining access to the data. This provides immutable data copies that can prevent a ransomware or crypto lock attack on a network.
The FUJIFILM Object Archive solution can be purchased by contacting Fujifilm Recording Media representative in your country (see below). To purchase Tiger Bridge or book a demo, visit
FUJIFILM Recording Media GmbH, Kleve, Germany, a subsidiary of FUJIFILM Cooperation, Tokyo, Japan, is acting and doing business as the Headquarters for the EMEA region. The leading tape media manufacturer continuously works on improvements to the tape systems core features such as archive life, security against viruses with the data disconnected from the network (creating an “air gap”), attractive cost, high data integrity and write speed, low environmental footprint and more. Fujifilm has recently contributed to unprecedented innovations on tape systems that meet all future-proof data storage needs: new coating processes such as Nanocubic, combined with Barium Ferrite particle technology, advances in the field of magnetic output, new drive heads developed by IBM and many more.
To go further and more specifically always meet the requirements shared by the users, Fujifilm continues to develop new tape functionalities such as the creation of customized migrations and long-term data archiving managed services to enable users to access their data over time, or a software integrating tape to object storage.
