Bolzano, February 4, 2026 – Fujifilm Healthcare Italy announces the relocation of its Software Research and Development offices to new premises within the NOI Techpark in Bolzano, the South Tyrolean innovation hub dedicated to technology, research, and industrial transfer. The move, celebrated with the event “Our Next Place: the future starts from NOI,” marks a new phase of growth and development founded on a shared vision of applied and sustainable innovation.
The decision to settle in NOI Techpark goes beyond mere infrastructure; it reflects the desire to place Research and Development within an ecosystem capable of fostering collaboration, cross-disciplinary exchange, and applied innovation. This environment connects companies, universities, research centers, and startups, creating the conditions for Fujifilm to transform research into tangible solutions for the healthcare system.
The new Bolzano offices, where 12 people will work, house the Software Research and Development Business Unit, a strategic asset for Fujifilm Healthcare both in Italy and Europe. The team is dedicated to developing digital healthcare solutions with a focus on system interoperability, data security, and the evolution of software architectures to support clinical workflows. Bolzano’s R&D also helps keep the company aligned with technological advancements, translating research and new technologies into sustainable solutions consistent with market and clinical needs.
The unit’s activities cover the entire software lifecycle, from the collection and analysis of clinical and market requirements, technological research, and regulatory compliance, to development, testing, validation, and continuous improvement of solutions. The work is based on structured processes and proven methodologies, ensuring quality, reliability, and long-term continuity.
Particular attention is given to the protection of healthcare data and information security: the unit operates within certified management systems including ISO/IEC 27001, confirming a rigorous and responsible approach to software development in the healthcare sector.
The move to NOI Techpark also represents an investment in people. The new environment offers opportunities for exchange, growth, and continuous stimulation for a highly specialized team, encouraging the attraction and development of talent and strengthening the connection between research, education, and the practical application of technologies.
NOI Techpark is one of Italy’s leading innovation hubs, with a strong commitment to sustainability, digitalization, and the development of future technologies. Fujifilm Healthcare Italy’s presence in this context enables the strengthening of synergies with the applied research world and accelerates the creation of increasingly advanced and customizable software solutions for the Italian and European healthcare markets.
Fujifilm Healthcare Italy’s roots in Bolzano date back to the early 2000s, with the experience of Syncro-Med, a company specialized in developing digital healthcare software solutions, acquired by the Fujifilm Group in 2008 after collaboration began in 2001. In 2019, the integration of Syncro-Med into Fujifilm Healthcare Italy gave rise to the current Medical Informatics R&D Unit, confirming Italy’s — and Bolzano’s in particular — strategic role as one of the pillars of the Group’s European medical informatics development.
“With Our Next Place: the future starts from NOI, we celebrate much more than a physical relocation: we are inaugurating a new way of working and innovating,” says Davide Campari, Managing Director of FUJIFILM Healthcare Italy. “This transition is part of a broader evolution of our presence in Italy, which also includes the endoscopy laboratory and new offices in Segrate at the Segreen Business Park, opened last October. Joining NOI Techpark means placing our Research and Development expertise at the heart of an ecosystem that values collaboration, sustainability, and an international vision. Here, we can accelerate the development of digital solutions, including those based on AI, to support healthcare professionals, making a concrete contribution to the evolution of healthcare.”
With the new premises in Bolzano, Fujifilm Healthcare Italy strengthens its role as a center of excellence in healthcare software development, consolidating the ability to combine the Fujifilm Group’s global technological know-how with the excellence and flexibility of Italian engineering. Our Next Place is the starting point of a shared vision where innovation, people, and technology meet. And the future truly starts with NOI.
“The digital transformation of healthcare requires robust, interoperable solutions built with rigor,” adds Kai Fukuzawa, VP, Head of Medical Informatics FUJIFILM Healthcare Europe and Chairman of Board of Directors FUJIFILM Healthcare Italy and FUJIFILM Italy. “The Bolzano hub strengthens Italy’s role as a strategic hub for Fujifilm software development in Europe: an internal team working close to the market and healthcare professionals, turning real needs into concrete solutions, with rigorous processes and standards.”
“The arrival of Fujifilm Healthcare Italy at NOI Techpark represents a further step in strengthening our innovation ecosystem,” comments Philipp Achammer, Provincial Councillor for NOI. “The presence of a Research and Development center dedicated to digital healthcare and medical informatics fully aligns with our mission to foster cooperation between research, business, and territory, generating a tangible, sustainable, and internationally oriented impact,” adds Ulrich Stofner, CEO of NOI Techpark.
With this new settlement, the collaboration between Fujifilm Healthcare Italy and NOI Techpark shapes up as a long-term strategic partnership founded on a shared vision of innovation, sustainability, and technological development applied to healthcare. This synergy strengthens Bolzano’s role as a reference hub for Medical Informatics and the development of advanced software solutions in healthcare, with an impact that extends beyond the local area to the national and European contexts.
