FUJIFILM Healthcare Europe is delighted to announce the European release of the Advanced Laparoscopic Linear Transducer. The L43LAP transducer has been comprehensively designed, featuring a wider ultrasound field of view, a tip design that makes it easier to identify position and orientation, improved one-handed operability, a larger bending angle and enhanced puncture and ablation compatibility.
As part of Fujifilm’s wider purpose to support the diagnosis to treatment journey for healthcare professionals, the new laparoscopic transducer presents an opportunity for minimally invasive surgery in a range of surgical areas such as hepatobiliary (HBP), urological, gynaecological or general surgery.
FEATURING FUJIFILM ENDOSCOPE TECHNOLOGY
The L43LAP transducer was developed in collaboration with FUJIFILM Corporation's innovative endoscopy team. The laparoscopic transducer utilizes advanced Fujifilm endoscope mechanisms and materials to support surgeons with increased operability and comfort during high precision surgical procedures.
IMPROVED OPERABILITY AND FLEXIBILITY
Designed for single-handed operation, the L43LAP linear transducer offers a compact solution with stable grip. In addition, the possibility to bend the device up to 110 degrees in any direction, and maintain different bending angles, allows increased accessibility in areas that were previously difficult to approach and offers greater flexibility for surgical procedures.
Additionally, assist lines corresponding to the scale markings on the transducer are displayed on the ultrasound image. This feature makes it easier to understand the positional relationship between the scope and the ultrasound image, thereby supporting tasks such as determining resection lines.
The L43LAP is equipped with proximal and distal directions puncture notches, to be used for ultrasound-guided ablation therapy and for segmental staining by injecting indocyanine green (ICG) into blood vessels under ultrasound guidance.
ENHANCED IMAGE QUALITY AND DETAIL
The new L43LAP Laparoscopic Linear Transducer features an increased trapezoid angle to provide a wider field of view, enhancing image sensitivity and resolution. Now including Detective Flow Imaging (DFI), surgeons can expect increased visibility, for example, when observing low-speed blood flow during procedures.
DESIGNED TO KEEP SURGEONS INFORMED DURING PROCEDURES
Engineered to easily identify the position of the piezoelectric element and manage transducer orientation during laparoscopic procedures, the L43LAP is designed to assist surgeons with relevant information to support decision-making during procedures.
"I’m delighted to share Fujifilm’s new L43LAP laparoscopic transducer, developed to support minimally invasive procedures with a wider ultrasound field of view, a tip design that makes it easier to identify the position and orientation, improved one-handed operability, a larger bending angle and enhanced puncture compatibility."
