The FUJIFILM HX1024 Printbar System comes in web-spanning widths of 30 and 40 inches. Offering a range of sizes as large as this requires a system architecture that can scale precise fluid control over a wide range of design parameters.
Additional features include:
Since no print production operation will have perfect web splices every time, mitigating the effects of imperfect splicing helps maintain uninterrupted operations.
When a sensor on the web detects a splice, it alerts a piston system under the substrate. The pistons lower the substrate so the splice can pass under the printbar without striking the head.
The combination of Fujifilm’s precise printhead technology and fast web repositioning enables high print quality on existing transports equipped with splicing processes.
The FUJIFILM HX1024 Printbar System leverages Fujifilm’s patented REDIJET® ink recirculation system. This system ensures that ink is constantly recirculating in a closed loop that will not disrupt printing within the system.
As a result, the system is ready to operate more quickly, meaning faster startup and restart times.
Fujifilm’s VersaDrop technology allows multiple fixed drop sizes in binary mode and greyscale capability from one printhead, with no loss to productivity.
Each FUJIFILM Dimatix STARFIRE® SG1024 printhead in the system has 1024 independent channels. They are arranged in 8 rows in a single nozzle plate for resolutions up to 400 dpi. All 1024 nozzles can be fired simultaneously or individually.
When the fluid pump activates, it causes increased fluid pressure throughout the printbar. Our systems auto-regulate these pressure changes to make sure fluid at the nozzle has steady pressure.
Our systems also feature temperature regulation, including liquid cooling for the electronics. Using liquid cooling replaces fans, which means fewer contaminants get into the body of the printbar.
