A3 Digital Color Multifunction Printer, the Apeos C7070 Series has attained EPEAT Climate+

EPEAT is the premier global ecolabel for electronics and technology products operated by the Global Electronics Council®, a non-profit organization headquartered in the U.S. It is referenced by companies, schools, hospitals, government agencies, and other institutions around the world as a selection criterion for sustainable electronic products. This program evaluates not only the environmental performance of the products, the social responsibility (CSR) and environmental initiatives of the companies. EPEAT has comprehensive environmental criteria including measures to address climate change, promote resource circulation, and manage chemicals.

The Apeos C7070 series has achieved EPEAT Climate+, a designation ensuring that the products meet the EPEAT 1.0[2] criteria for registration and additionally comply with all required criteria of Climate Change Mitigation in EPEAT 2.0[3] through independent third-party validation process. The criteria for EPEAT Climate+ include product carbon footprint and energy consumption, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by the company, and the use of renewable energy at manufacturing sites. EPEAT Climate+ designation demonstrates advanced initiatives that contribute to climate change mitigation. The Apeos C7070 series has attained the criteria applied to EPEAT Climate+ until December 1, 2025.

Notably, the Apeos C7070 series is registered as EPEAT Gold with the EPEAT 1.0 criteria that recognizes products demonstrating advanced environmental performance[4].

Under the Fujifilm Group's CSR plan, “Sustainable Value Plan 2030 (SVP2030),” FUJIFILM Business Innovation will continue aiming to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through the development and provision of products and services that help solve social issues, such as responding to climate change and promoting resource circulation.

[1] In addition to meeting the EPEAT 1.0 criteria for registration, products must comply with all required criteria of Climate Change Mitigation in EPEAT 2.0 through December 1, 2025. From December 2, 2025 onward, products must meet both all required criteria and at least 50% of the number of optional criteria of Climate Change Mitigation in EPEAT 2.0.

[2] The EPEAT 1.0 criteria have been currently in operation and include product category-specific standards. New product registration with the EPEAT 1.0 is available until June 30, 2026. In addition to evaluating the environmental performance of the product itself, the criteria also include requirements related to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental practices.

[3] The EPEAT 2.0 criteria, new criteria which will go into effect on December 2, 2025, introduce more stringent requirements than EPEAT 1.0. The criteria have been revised to comprise of four common criteria across product categories—Climate Change Mitigation, Sustainable Use of Resources, Chemicals of Concern and Responsible Supply Chain— and additional criterion specific to imaging equipment: Consumables.
