Fujifilm Announces New Worldwide Collaboration with FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

TOKYO, February 13, 2025 – FUJIFILM Corporation recently announced a new worldwide collaboration for its instax™ line of instant cameras and smartphone printers and the globally popular online role-playing game, FINAL FANTASY™ XIV Online. This collaboration will allow game players to utilize a special instax emote[1] “Photograph” during game play. The collaboration will also provide gamers the opportunity to win in-game items by sharing their emotes on social media through a dedicated website.

“Through the FINAL FANTASY XIV Online collaboration, instax fans can merge their love of photography and gaming. In addition, gamers who may not be as familiar with instax gear can familiarize themselves with our iconic photography brand through the game,” said Ashley Reeder Morgan, vice president, consumer products, Imaging Division, FUJIFILM North America Corporation.

FINAL FANTASY XIV Online to feature emote of instax instant camera gear

The instax emote “Photograph” will appear in the FINAL FANTASY XIV Online game as an instax instant camera on February 25, 2025. Users can even take an in-game screenshot and print it using the instaxLink series of smartphone printers and instax instant hybrid cameras.

Social campaign to win in-game items

The collaboration also encourages users to post screenshots from FINAL FANTASY XIV Online on a dedicated website to create instax instant print images and then share them on the social networking site, X, as part of a social media campaign beginning February 27, 2025. Up to 10,000 participants will have a chance to win in-game items that can be used in FINAL FANTASY XIV Online.
