This software is an installable printer driver provided by FUJIFILM Business Innovation.
This is a compatible driver which conforms to Fuji Xerox products described in the column of conformed models.
This printer driver software is the PostScript® driver provided for the applicable plotter only.
PDF/PS Kit(Option) is necessary for printing from the above plotter via this printer driver.

Installation

  1. Download and save the file into an empty directory, and then double click the file.
  2. Driver Installation Tool opens. Then, follow the instructions displayed on the dialog box to complete the installation.

Cautions for using this driver

It is required to enable SNMP setting on the printer. To enable SNMP, use Print Services on WebNote1 of DocuWide 2055 / 2055MF printer and set the followings:

Setting SNMP by Print Services on Web

  1. Start Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 6.x, and enter the URL of the printer (http://host name or IP address) and press [Enter]. Print Services on Web top page is displayed.
  2. Click [Administrator page] button. Enter user name and password on the dialog box, and click [OK]. For the user name and password, please ask the system administrator.
  3. Click [Properties] tab, and select [SNMP].
  4. Check on [Enable] of [SNMP], click [Apply] button, and power off and on the printer. This completes SNMP setting.

Setting SNMP by CentreWare Insternet Services

  1. Start Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 6.x or 7.x, and enter the URL of the printer (http://host name or IP address) and press [Enter]. CentreWare Insternet Services top page is displayed.
  2. Click [Login] button. Enter user ID and password on the dialog box, and click [OK]. For the user ID and password, please ask the system administrator.
  3. Click [Properties] tab, and select [Port Status] in [Network Settings].
  4. Check on [Enable] of [SNMP], click [Apply] button, and power off and on the printer. This completes SNMP setting.

Restrictions

Unlike the 32-bit edition, there are some functional limitations in the 64-bit edition of PostScript® Printer Driver. Please read and confirm the following details before downloading this software.

Details

Limitation of printing when [Advanced Printing Features] is disabled:

There is a case that some problem may occur when printing complicated structural data with [Advanced Printing Features] disabled, such as not printing or distorted image. The following phenomena have been observed.

  • ex 1): When printing Microsoft Word document in which Microsoft Excel table is inserted, application becomes unresponsive and stops printing.
  • ex 2): When printing Microsoft PowerPoint document in which Microsoft Excel table is inserted, the table is missing from the printout.

These phenomena can be avoided by enabling [Advanced Print Setting].
To enable [Advanced Print Setting], perform either of the following settings.

  1. Select printer icon and display properties dialog box. Check on [Advanced Print Setting] in [Advanced Setting] tab.
  2. Select printer icon and display print setting dialog box, choose [Enabled] for [EMF Spooling] in the [Document Options] tree of the [Advanced] tab.
  • NoteThis procedure is not applicable if the output port is set to "FILE:"(Output to File). In this case, select other port and then perform the procedure.

Limitation of printing when [Advanced Print Setting] is enabled:

When [Advanced Print Setting] is enabled, Secure Print, Accounting function cannot be used, while it is available with 32bit version.
This can be avoided by disabling [Advanced Print Setting]. To disable [Advanced Print Setting], perform either of the following settings.

  1. Select printer icon and display properties dialog box. Check off [Advanced Print Setting] in [Advanced setting].
  2. Select printer icon and display print setting dialog box, choose [Enabled] for [EMF Spooling] in the [Document Options] tree of the [Advanced] tab.
  • NoteThis procedure is not applicable if the output port is set to "FILE:"(Output to File). In this case, select other port and then perform the procedure.

notes

  1. Plotter firmware version
    The firmware version is not specified in particular, but each plotter must have PS/PDF Kit installed. It is necessary to purchase PS/PDF Kit for printing.
  2. Papers provided by [Print Server Properties] are not available via this driver.
  3. [Windows Security] or [User Account Control] screen may pop up when installing the driver to Windows Vista®, Windows® 7, Windows Server® 2008, Windows® 8, Windows Server® 2012 installed computer. Continue installation in this case, as there is no functional problem after installation.
  4. In order to delete the driver entirely from Windows Vista®, Windows® 7, Windows Server® 2008, Windows® 8, Windows Server® 2012 perform the following procedures to delete both driver and driver package. Please note that execution of driver uninstall tool does not delete the driver package.
    1. Go to [Start] > [Control Panel] and select [Printers] in [Hardware and Sound].
    2. Delete the printer icon in [Printers] folder.
    3. Right click in [Printers] folder, and select [Run as administrator] to display [Print Server Properties].
    4. Select the driver to delete from [Drivers] tab, and click [Remove].
    5. Select [Remove driver and driver package.] and click [OK].
    6. Restart the computer.
  5. There is a case that screen image and print result may be different when printing from Microsoft® 2007 Office system.
    • In the case of Word 2007 / PowerPoint® 2007 / Excel® 2007, print results may be improved by setting print mode to high quality or changing printer property setting.
    • In the case of Word 2007 / PowerPoint® 2007 / Excel® 2007, part of object may be printed with different tone reproduction, or unnecessary lines may appear on some objects. Refer to Microsoft support website for the detail of this phenomenon.
    • In the case of PowerPoint® 2007 / Excel® 2007, object shade effect may not be printed. Refer to Microsoft support website for the detail of this phenomenon. In this case, changing print mode to high quality may improve the problem. Refer to the description below on how to set the print mode to high quality.
    • How to set print mode to [High Quality] with PowerPoint® 2007
      1. Click [Microsoft Office] button at the top left side of PowerPoint® window, and go to [Print] menu and select [Print].
      2. Check on [High quality] at [Print] dialog, and then click [OK].
    • How to set print mode to [High Quality] with Excel® 2007
      1. Click [Microsoft Office] button at the top left side of Excel® window, and select [Excel Options] button.
      2. Select [Advanced] at the left side menu of [Excel Options] dialog.
      3. Check on [High quality mode for graphics] and click [OK].

In accordance with the terms and conditions of this Software License Agreement (the "Agreement"), FUJIFILM Business Innovation grants you ("Customer") a non-assignable, non-transferable and nonexclusive license to use the Software on a Customer's computer in Japan to use the equipment distributed by FUJIFILM Business Innovation, its subsidiaries, distributors or resellers.
  3. Customer shall follow the instructions and/or restrictions specified by FUJIFILM Business Innovation with respect to this download service.
  4. Customer shall not modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software.
  5. Customer shall not copy, distribute, assign, rent or sublicense the Software to any third party.
  6. Customer shall use the Software with equipment and software program designated or specified by FUJIFILM Business Innovation.

  8. Customer understands that FUJIFILM Business Innovation may set forth other terms and conditions which are specific to the Software, different from or not provided herein, ("Specific Terms"). Further, customer understands that customer is supposed to be bound by the Specific Terms displayed on the computer screen during installation or extraction of the Software, or included in the "Read Me" file. The provisions of the Specific Terms shall supersede and apply, if there is any inconsistency between the terms and conditions herein and Specific Terms.
  9. This agreement is governed by the laws of Japan. In case that Customer wishes to export the Software, Customer shall comply with the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Law of Japan, the Export Control regulations of the United States and any applicable law of area respectively. If necessary, Customer shall obtain the appropriate license for re-export from the authorities concerned.
