Accelerate Business Success with Smart Workstyle

Extending DX beyond smarter processes, places, and people

Digital transformation (DX) is about working smarter. But in the next normal—when there is no one place or one way to work—working smarter has a whole new definition.

Working smarter is no longer about creating a smarter workplace or automating a few business processes or enabling more communication channels. It is about integrating them all innovatively and securely to deliver an inspiring Smart Workstyle.

To help Hong Kong businesses enable Smart Workstyle that extends beyond processes, places, and people, FUJIFILM Business Innovation Hong Kong recently gathered business executives and technology experts to explore the technologies that realize this inspiring workstyle.

This is the insight from our experts.

Tatsuya Nakamura, Managing Director of FUJIFILM Business Innovation Hong Kong gave the opening remarks at our Smart Workstyle seminar.

“A Smart Workstyle is characterized by the business running as usual with the support of technology, regardless of any change in geographic location, variation in the environment, and move of personnel. For every customer, we want to create a communications environment that enables them to harness information and knowledge to focus and expand their core business. We are committed to innovation, extending new frontiers, and helping companies accelerate their business success by realizing Smart Workstyle.”

“Many businesses have started their journey of automation, but most of them are simply replacing and speeding up tedious tasks – which is no longer enough in the next normal. We need hyperautomation to bring more integrated and intelligent automated processes to make smarter decisions. With our low-code platform, business users can cut through the IT bottleneck and build integrated and hyperautomated workflows with their existing and familiar UI. Through turning intelligence into real-time actions, hyperautomation is redefining the total DX for both customers and employees.”

“The accelerated DX adoption since COVID-19 is increasing business exposure to attacks. We find that on average hackers take 205 days to launch attacks after compromising the network. This means they had been hiding for 205 days, quietly studying your business, systems, and data. Cybersecurity mindset should be changed—from focusing on gate-keeping the network into zero-trust access across the network. Resources should be allocated to identify insider threats with AI through behavioral analysis. Managed security services can break down and outsource different security tasks to continuously monitor and detect threats.”

“DX adoption is like an iceberg, the benefit is often applied to a small portion of mission-critical systems, with a majority of processes remaining manual and email-centric. This is because most automated technologies are often too expensive and complicated to use. We aim to speed up the learning of these automated technologies from three months into 10 minutes through integrating systems for the daily business operations. We believe content is the center of everything. With the ability to share information faster, easier with better control, we can connect different departments and most employees to drive DX across the entire organization.”
